My life changed in the blink of an eye

Days weeks months still now I cry

I went from the top to the bottom

What hurt was to see family and so call friends treat me rotten

From Stretcher to walker to 

Its days I still can't get out the bed

Don't let my pics and post have you mislead

My daughters and grandchildren are my life support

Without them I would have given up my life would've been cut short

When I couldn't dress & feed my self I started to cry

This Is an adjustment I'm not going to lie

I will not let you play the victim in my story

When I speak I speak with authority

My entire life has changed

Never again will it nor I be the same

I'm not handicap but have several disabilities

Which has humbled me down for no one do I have animosity or hostility 

I"m not reopening any doors that closed

In with the new out with the old

You counted me out now watch how this unfold

This the deal

I've accepted that I'm really ill

So I'm going to step back sit down and chill

My mind keeps telling me to go 

It's telling me you got to secure this bag though

My body is saying you're not ready but then I pass out and hit the floor 

I know its time to take it easy and take it slow

That bag ain't going to matter if I'm not here no more

See I got some major health issue my heart is functioning really low

Things I use to be able to do on my own

 I require assistant I can no longer do alone

I get really tired and weak 

So Negativity BS drama chaos foolishness ect you bring my way I will ignore you and even not speak

So many people make excuses for what they cant do

You have people like me with disabilities who wish we could fully function like you

Don't take anything or anyone for granted

Your life can change like mines in a minute an hour or day damn it

I"m not defined by my wheelchair

Or even the people that show they don't care 

Nor the ones that walked away when I just knew they would be there

To hold my hand and have my back

I'm not sending subliminal messages I'm stating clear facts

I'm grateful for my small circle especially the one that checks on me see if I've eating asked if I need anything

But my favorite just sitting with me its the little things

God is definitely using me and tragedies

When People that I haven't seen finally see me in my wheelchair all they do is stare Then asking the Famous Question what happen how did you get there as if they care. Now we hadn't talked or seen each other in months maybe years Life happen and these are my new set of wheels. I don't owe you a play by play whats on your mind how are you doing today. This adjustment is real and has definitely changed my outlook on life Where my strength comes from to keep going is only Jesus Christ You're not in this situation so please don't tell me how to feel. I'm not handicap but disable I'll ask for help if needed I don't like to feel enabled My support system became zero to none

I then became my biggest cheerleader got out and started having fun. Your crying and complaining about what you're going through. Its someone in the worst situation than you. I'm over the fake love fake friends and people who have shown me they not riding with me nor have my back.. Just remember this is only temporary I will not claim this for it's just a minor set back That was needed to wide out the phony and fake. God doesn't make no mistakes. when you're getting ready to get elevated sometimes you have to be brought all the way to the ground. He will remove those things and people that are not suppose to go to the next level with you let them go don't clown. You learn who is for you and has your back when your down. They said a support system is what I needed I needed to keep friends and family around. Well, that's what has pulled me through when the calls stopped the checking on me, the seeing if I ate, bringing me a plate or if I needed anything, That's when I took ownership of being in a chair and disable I didn't like how things seem. I know what's it like to be homeless sleeping under a bridge, I know what its like to sleep in a storage.... Get ready for it.
